Our love for dance is what brought us together. We met in 2012 while dancing on the team re.DEFINE. Ella was just 15 years old and Renz was 17. Ella made the first move by baking Renz some cookie-brownies and asking for his Kik messenger to chat. We became official in October of 2013. Our first date was at a SONIC drive-in. Renz initiated our first kiss (after politely asking, of course). Although we went to different schools, we consider ourselves high school sweethearts.

Ella has been working as a nurse for 4 years. Renz has been with Starbucks for 7 years, and is now Store Manager. In between busy work days we still make time to dance, whether it is through teaching, taking class, or performing in shows.

We became dog parents to our corgi Momo Kai in 2020. He loves the beach just as much as we do, and we love taking him to play fetch and roll around in the sand. From binge-watching our favorite shows, exploring new sushi and ramen spots, to numerous trips to Disneyland and Hawaii, we love our quality time and adventures together.

After 10 years together, on April 30th, 2024, Renz proposed to Ella at sunrise on Lanikai Beach — her favorite spot — during a special trip to Hawaii. Ella describes it as the bluest sky she has ever seen in her entire life. Surrounded by our closest loved ones - the proposal was everything we could have hoped for.

We are so excited for what the future holds, with hopes to save up for a home, open Renz’s dream coffee shop, travel the world together, and eventually grow our little family. We thank you for being part of our journey, and are grateful to have you present in celebrating Renzella’s next chapter!
