Boracay Island is a popular vacation spot, known for its white-sand beaches, crystal-blue waters, and vibrant atmosphere. The trip to Boracay requires a plane, a boat, and land transportation (van, bus, or tricycle). Although the journey may be long, it is the perfect destination for a tropical escape — and we have some information below to help you get there!
1. Fly to Manila, Philippines
(15 hours)
There are no direct flights to Boracay. Book an international flight from San Francisco (SFO) to Manila (NAIA - Ninoy Aquino International Airport). Manila is the capital of the Philippines and is the first stop before flying into Caticlan.
We recommend booking a flight with Philippine Airlines for shorter flights.

2. Fly from Manila to Caticlan Airport
(1 hour & 10 mins)
Fly from Manila to Caticlan Airport (Godofredo O. Ramos Airport). Caticlan is the final stop before arriving to Boracay Island.

3. Drive from Caticlan Airport to Jetty Port
(15 mins)
If you decide to stay as a guest at the Shangri-La resort, they offer a complimentary private shuttle service. It will pick you up from the Caticlan Airport and take you to the Caticlan Jetty Port. This is a boating dock and the gateway to the island of Boracay. It is here that you will check-in at the Mabuhay Centre, Shangri-La Boracay's exclusive arrival and departure lounge.
Please forward your confirmed flight itinerary to Shangri-La's reservation team so they can pre-arrange your pick-up from Caticlan Airport.
If you have separate hotel accommodations, consider booking an all-in-one airport transfer package for a smoother, more convenient experience. This would include land and sea transfers to your destination.

4. Sail from the Jetty Port to Boracay Island

Shangri-La resort guests will also have private speedboat transfers. A round trip journey is available for a max of 2 adults and 2 children below 12 years old per room.
Please note speedboat transfers will have a surcharge of P1000 or $18 per room & legal docking fees ranging from P150 to P300 or $3-$6 will be covered by the resort and later charged to your final hotel bill)

5. Arrival to Boracay Island
Shangri-La guests will arrive straight to the resort’s private dock!
Alternative speedboat transfers will arrive to Cagban Jetty Port, which is the main port on Boracay. From here, forms of transportation available on the island include tricycles, pedicabs, and the Hop Off Hop On (HOHO) Bus service.
